  1. How many people can play "Oh, My Heck!"TM?
Well, of course we encourage everyone to play!  With one deck of Oh, My HeckTM cards, the limit is 8 players.  However, why limit yourself?  Buy two (2) or more decks and play with more than 8 people at a time (limit of 10 people recommended).  If you have more than 10 people that want to play we recommend getting two games going.

  2. What is age appropriate for " Oh My Heck!"TM?
We normally say 8 to 80, however, we have played with youngsters as young as 6.  If they can read numbers and learn a little strategy and with some good luck, they can do okay.

  3. How long does it take to play one game of "Oh My Heck"!TM?
A normal game, if played through with minimal talking, will take about 15 to 20 minutes.  However, and this is a big "HOWEVER", if you have a couple of people in the group that like to visit (and you usually do), it can take much longer.  It's up to the group as they enjoy themselves and the game.

  4. If the only trump card in my hand is the Master Trump, do I have to play it when the round starts out with trump color?
Yes, you must play it if a trump cards starts the round.  The Master Trump is considered whatever color the trump is for that round.

  5. I just received a copy of Oh, My Heck! and I am struggling to understand the instructions:
Q: It sounds like I can play any color at any time except for when someone has laid down the trump color.

A: (Rule #4 - 3rd sentence) Every player must play the same color of card that was placed by the first player. If a player does not have the color which is in play (by the first player), they may place a trump card [or another color, if you don't have the initial color played]. (Rule #4 - 9th sentence): The highest trump card always takes the trick in which it was played.
Q: Does the trick end when someone places the highest trump color?
A: (Rule #4 - 5th sentence): The player which places the highest card, takes that trick... (the trick ends when all players have placed one card.)
Q: If someone else has a higher trump color than what you have laid down, can they play it?
A: They can play trump if they don't have the color that was laid down by the first player of that round of play. If the first player of a round lays down a trump card, then all players must play trump if they have one. The highest trump played always wins.
Q: Does the round of play only go around the table once and then the winner of the trick is determined?
A: Yes. Each round of play includes each player placing one card in that round. The round ends after each player has placed a card. At the end of each round, every player must account to the score keeper how they did on that round, per the rules under Scoring.
